Sales Preparation
Sales preparation at Smithstown Stud - we pride ourselves for providing owners with a first rate centre for the preparation of mares, foals and yearlings. The Stud has sold successfully at sales as far away as Baden Baden and the sales team has experience of international sales in America, Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland and the UK.
The Stud is in an ideal location at which to prepare yearlings, mares and foals, located on 250 acres in the heart of the Royal County of Meath. The layout of the Stud provides numerous routes on which to walk yearlings and purpose built lunge rings for exercise and wind testing.
In consultation with owners, the Stud will make the entries to the sales and undertake full preparation of the animal for sale, providing a full service from the start of preparation to the fall of hammer. The Stud's management and staff combined with our vet, specialist farrier and nutritionist will ensure that everything possible is done to present sales animals in the best possible light.
